123 – Drinking Health, Fast Food and Hospitals

Drinking Health

It’s episode #123! This is the show where I help you live longer, thinner, healthier, and happier. What does drinking health mean? I just came out of the grocery store with a bag full of collard greens, celery, beets, carrots, apples, and ginger. You can probably guess what I am going to be doing as soon as I get home. I am so excited! I am going to be juicing!! I am going to be making an incredible drink. We’ve had a Breville juicer for a while now. I love it. And when you think about just drinking pure health, imagine what a large glass of juice from fruits and vegetables will do for your body? It is delicious. And I feel that I am drinking health. I’m not drinking a diet coke, or a beer, or a Bloody Mary. I am drinking liquid plants. I feel great when I do that! I hope you can feel the enthusiasm in my message. I feel great and it makes my day!

More Health Tips

I also want to share a few other things that I do that really make my life so cool. First, is meditation. I have talked about this before. Some of you are new. But if you aren’t new, you know I sit down every day and just clear my mind. I breathe in and out and close my eyes. As I breathe in, I try to totally clear my mind and sometimes I think of the word “in” for the in breath. And after I take that nice deep in breath, I pause for a little bit and then I say the word “out” to myself. That’s for the out breath. That’s basically meditation. To set a time I use an app on the iPhone called Insight Timer. It is available for Android as well. Meditation takes the stress out of your life, it clears your brain, and it’s a beautiful way to start your day.

I have a morning routine. I get up in the morning, I feed my cats, I cut up fruit and make a beautiful healthy breakfast. And if I have the time I will make some juice. Then I return emails. Yeah, I do that stuff too! 😉 Then I will get out and exercise. I either walk or run. I have been under the weather for a couple weeks or so. As I am recording this right now, I am kinda giving my body a total rest. I am listening to my body and I am not getting out there. I just want to rest it and in a few days I will be back at it!
