Hey friends, it’s Dr. Dave here, and I’m really excited to dive into a question that’s been coming up a lot lately: Microdosing mushrooms vs LSD— which one wins?
I get asked this question constantly, and I thought it was time to share my own experience with both and try to answer it for myself. I’ve been microdosing magic mushrooms for almost four years now, and the benefits I’ve experienced have been incredible. But recently, I decided to experiment with LSD, something I’d been hesitant to try for a while. So, how do they compare? Is one really better than the other? Let’s dive into what I’ve learned from my journey.
My Journey with Microdosing Magic Mushrooms
As many of you know, I started microdosing magic mushrooms as a way to deal with some serious mental health challenges—depression and anxiety. I was in a pretty dark place when I began, struggling to find joy and motivation. After starting microdosing, I felt like I had been given a new lease on life. The impact was almost immediate. My mind cleared, my anxiety reduced, and I felt a sense of energy I hadn’t felt in years. Over the past few years, microdosing has helped me improve not just my mental health but my physical health too. The mind-body connection is real, and when you heal one, the other follows.
Microdosing has allowed me to be more present, healthier, and happier. I’m able to keep up with my life without feeling burdened by stress or trapped in negative thought patterns. Magic mushrooms have been life-changing for me, and I’ll always be a strong advocate for their power.
The Introduction of LSD
Now, I know many of you are wondering about my latest experiment with LSD. For years, I stuck to mushrooms, and the thought of venturing into LSD territory made me a little nervous. I’d heard a lot about it—some good, some bad—but I never truly understood what the fuss was about until I tried it.
About a month ago, I decided to give microdosing LSD a try. I started with a very low dose—around 10 to 20 micrograms—and I’ll admit, I was a bit hesitant. What I found surprised me.
The first time I microdosed LSD, I felt a noticeable difference. While the effects of mushrooms are a bit more subtle and gradual for me, LSD gave me a powerful feeling that stayed with me throughout the day. It wasn’t overwhelming—just a smooth, uplifting, positive feeling that I carried with me long after the microdose was taken. It was like having an extended moment of clarity, with a slight sense of calm and focus that lingered.
LSD was definitely different than mushrooms. I can’t fully put my finger on what made it feel different, but I noticed it. For one, the effects were more front and center. With mushrooms, I’d often feel something in the background—a low hum, if you will—but with LSD, I could feel it more vividly, even in the way I interacted with people or tackled tasks throughout the day.
Why I Think LSD Could Be More Promising Than Mushrooms
So, does LSD win? I can’t say for certain yet, but I’m leaning toward yes. Here’s why: When I microdose mushrooms, the effects are great, and I feel a positive shift, but after a few hours, that feeling fades away. The benefits last, but the initial feeling doesn’t linger as long as it does with LSD. With LSD, however, that positive feeling sticks with me throughout the day—and even the day after. The effects feel more profound and long-lasting.
One thing I’ve noticed since I switched to microdosing LSD is that I only need to do it once a week. I get so much benefit from that one dose that I don’t feel the need to microdose again during the week. In fact, I’ve been using this routine where I time my microdose before my weekly acupuncture session, and it’s been a game-changer. The combination of the LSD microdose and acupuncture is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. It’s deeply relaxing and rejuvenating, and it’s given me a sense of clarity and well-being that I can carry with me throughout the week.
The Acupuncture & LSD Experience
A quick side note: I’ve been dealing with chronic foot pain (thanks to plantar fasciitis), and acupuncture has been the only thing that’s really helped. So now, I microdose before my acupuncture appointment, and let me tell you, the experience is incredible. The acupuncture needles, combined with the LSD microdose, make for a profound sense of relaxation and well-being. The benefits last well into the next day, and I honestly don’t feel the need to take any more doses of either LSD or mushrooms.
What I’ve Learned from Both
As of now, my experience with LSD has only been for a short period, but it’s been eye-opening. I’ve been a big fan of magic mushrooms for years, and they’ve helped me in ways that I can’t fully describe. However, LSD has added a new layer to my healing journey, and I feel like it might be a more efficient way to get that sustained, positive feeling throughout the week.
Both substances have their own unique benefits. For me, microdosing mushrooms has been all about grounding and healing—slow and steady. On the other hand, microdosing LSD has been more about staying present, feeling energized, and experiencing a longer-lasting sense of joy and clarity.
I’m not saying one is definitively better than the other—both have their place in my life, and I plan to keep experimenting with both to see how I can integrate them for maximum benefit.
The Future: A Program to Help You Start Microdosing LSD
Now, I know some of you might be curious about LSD, but you’re not sure where to start. I get it. When I started with LSD, I had no idea what I was doing. The good news is, Dr. Denise and I are already working on a program to help those who are interested in microdosing LSD but have no clue where to begin. It’ll be a step-by-step guide, and we’ll be there to support you the entire way.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’m all about honesty and transparency. I’m not here to tell you what to do—I’m just sharing what has worked for me and what hasn’t. I think LSD has a lot of potential, and I’m excited to see how it can help others the way it’s been helping me.
Final Thoughts
So, which one wins? Well, it really depends on what you’re looking for. Magic mushrooms have been a huge part of my healing journey, and I’ll always love them for that. But LSD is definitely a strong contender, and I can see it being a powerful tool for those seeking a more long-lasting, sustained boost throughout their week.
If you’re interested in learning more about either of these substances or want some personalized guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Dr. Denise and I are here to support you, and we’d love to help you on your journey to better mental health.
