The Power of Community and Plant Medicine: Why We Need Each Other More Than Ever
Hey friends, Dr. Dave here. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’ve dedicated myself to helping you through your healing journeys, especially with the transformative power of microdosing. It’s been an incredible ride over the last few years, filled with growth, exploration, and a lot of real-life lessons. But today, I need to share something a little more personal.
This morning, I woke up to some heart wrenching news. I want to be totally honest with you because you’ve all been such a crucial part of this community. You deserve to know what’s going on and why I’m asking for your help today.
The Facebook Group – Gone in an Instant
We’ve built something incredible together—a community that felt like family. Our Facebook group had thousands of members, all actively sharing their journeys, supporting one another, and finding new paths to healing. It was an open, safe place where we could talk about plant medicine, mental health, and the profound ways these substances can transform our lives. But this morning, it was all gone.
Facebook has deactivated my group, citing the discussion of “drugs” as the reason. Now, I get it. The word “drugs” can trigger all sorts of reactions, and I understand that. But here’s the thing—our group wasn’t about harmful substances like cocaine, heroin, or meth. We weren’t discussing addictive, life-threatening drugs. We were talking about psilocybin, the same natural plant medicine that’s been shown to help with everything from depression to anxiety to PTSD.
Facebook lumped these healing substances in with everything else, even though they’ve been proven to be incredibly safe when used intentionally and responsibly. This group, which I poured my heart and soul into, is now gone. And not just for me—it’s gone for all of you too. For the people who came looking for answers, guidance, and a sense of community. And that breaks my heart.
A Community Still Strong and Growing
So, what’s next? Can I argue with Facebook and try to get the group back? Maybe. But honestly, I’m tired of fighting that fight. There’s another place where we can go that gives us more freedom, where we won’t have to worry about being censored. It’s a place where we can grow, share, and support each other on a deeper level, without the constant worry that something might get shut down.
That place is Patreon. Over the past year, I’ve been growing our Patreon community. It’s a space where we can get even more personal, share what’s really going on, and get the support we all need. The great part is that Patreon allows us to be more open, and the community thrives with real-time interaction. We can have live meetings, share personal experiences, and go beyond just surface-level conversations. It’s a place where your voice matters.
If you’re a member of the Facebook group, I’m asking you now to join us over on Patreon. It’s $12.50 a month (I actively work on your behalf to keep it as cost-effective for you as possible and you get loads of benefits from it), and it gives you access to our growing community, live meetings with me and our team, and much more. I believe it will be the best $12.50 you spend each month for your healing journey.
Why Your Support Means So Much
I know this is a bit of a shift, but I’m asking you from the bottom of my heart. The group we had on Facebook was built over years of hard work and dedication. I know many of you found support, encouragement, and even transformation through it. To lose it was a gut punch—not just for me, but for everyone who depended on it. But I’m not here to dwell on the negative. I’m here to build something even stronger with your help.
Patreon gives us a space to grow and nurture that sense of family. Yes, it’s a paid platform, but the price is intentionally low, and every penny goes toward creating a community that’s bigger, better, and more impactful. In Patreon, you’re not just a follower. You’re a valued member of a group that is always learning, sharing, and growing together.
In these live meetings, you’ll be able to ask your questions in real-time, interact with like-minded individuals, and get the personal guidance you need. If you’ve ever wanted to get deeper into microdosing, plant medicine, or just needed someone who understands, our Patreon group is where that happens.
Why This Isn’t Just About Microdosing
I want to be clear: this is not just about microdosing. While microdosing psilocybin and other substances has been transformative for me, this is about something bigger. It’s about finding healing, about growing emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. It’s about rewiring our brains and shifting our perspectives in ways we never thought possible. It’s about finding peace, clarity, and connection.
For me, the biggest breakthrough has been discovering that healing doesn’t have to come from a pill bottle. It doesn’t have to be temporary or masked with chemicals that numb you. Healing can come from within. It can come from truly reconnecting with yourself, and plant medicine, when used intentionally, can be a guide on that journey.
It’s about community. It’s about you. It’s about us standing together and walking this path toward healing, without judgment, without shame, and without fear.
Let’s Build This Together
I know this isn’t what you expected to hear today. And trust me, it’s not what I expected to be sharing with you either. But here’s the thing: I don’t want to let this setback define us. I don’t want to let Facebook—or any other platform—control our ability to connect and support each other.
So please, if you were part of the Facebook group, or even if you’ve just been following along on this journey, join us on Patreon. I promise you this: you’ll find a community that’s authentic, vulnerable, supportive, and focused on growth. We’re a family. A group of people who are invested in healing and transformation.
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you for being here with me. Your support, your willingness to open up, and your commitment to your own growth keeps me going. Together, we’ll continue to change lives—mine, yours, and everyone else who joins us on this path.
How to Join
